切羅基文，是一個位於基本多文種平面的Unicode區塊[1] [2] 。
簡介
切羅基文 (Unicode區段)，收錄了用以書寫切羅基語的切羅基文字符。切羅基語（ᏣᎳᎩ，英文：Cherokee，易洛魁語的一種）一直是靠發音和手勢來表達的。
切羅基音節文字（Cherokee syllabary）是美國原住民切羅基人的語言——切羅基語——所使用的文字。大概因為是美國的原住民語言文字，所以 iOS 系統自帶了切羅基語輸入法（即「徹羅基文」），可以自己在手機上調出該輸入法先感受一下。
當今世界各種語言所用的文字基本可以分為語素文字和表音文字兩大類。
切羅基文最初於3.0版本時被添加至Unicode中，那時它被視爲不分大小寫的文字，但8.0版本將它重新定義爲區分大小寫的文字。本區塊（U+13A0..U+13FF）包含了所有切羅基文大寫字母，以及六個小寫字母。
包含剩餘切羅基文小寫字母的切羅基文補充區塊（U+AB70..U+ABBF）則於8.0版本時被添加至Unicode中。爲了向後兼容，Unicode的大小寫摺疊算法（通常將一個字符串轉換爲小寫字母）將切羅基字符映射爲大寫。[3]
