麦康瑞(英文名:Rebecca MacKinnon,1969年-)[1]是一位美国人权活动家,香港网络作家。
生平
生于美国加州的柏克莱,曾经在CNN任职,最高升至北京办事处主任,是全球之声的共同创办人。热爱研究中国国学,曾到过台湾生活;其父亲是一位中国近代史学者[2]。麦康瑞也曾在于香港大学新闻学系担当助理教授;另外,她亦是维基媒体基金会理事咨询会顾问之一,也曾出席香港维基媒体协会的成立典礼和一、二届中文网志年会等草根媒体相关社群活动。 麦康瑞懂得英语及普通话,但不懂广东话。 她是保护记者委员会 (the Committee to Protect Journalists)的董事会成员[3] ,全球网路倡议(the Global Network Initiative)的创始董事会成员[4] ,是新美国基金会开放技术研究所(the New America Foundation's Open Technology Institute)排名数位权利专案(the Ranking Digital Rights project) 的创始主任。
CNN
- 1992年加入CNN,担任北京局助理。
- 1997年调任制片人/记者。
- 1998年调任局长。
- 2001年,成为东京分局局长。在CNN期间,她采访了小泉纯一郎(Junichiro Koizumi)、达赖喇嘛(14th Dalai Lama)、佩尔韦兹·穆沙拉夫(Pervez Musharraf)和穆罕默德·哈塔米(Mohammad Khatami)等著名领导人。
- 2009年4月11日,麦康瑞接受中国大陆“Anti-CNN”网站的主要成员采访[5]。
教育
2004年春天,是哈佛大学肯尼迪政府学院琼·肖伦斯坦新闻、政治和公共政策中心研究员,夏天,加入哈佛法学院的伯克曼互联网(MacKinnon founded Global Voices Online)与社会中心担任研究员,直到2006年12月。 2007年1月,加入香港大学新闻及传媒研究中心,直至2009年1月。 2009年2月至2010年1月,她以开放社会研究员的身份进行研究,由乔治·索罗斯的开放社会研究所资助。 [8] 然后在2010年2月,她加入了普林斯顿大学资讯技术政策中心 where she was a visiting fellow, working on a book about the future of freedom in the Internet age.[9] Regarding the Middle East, MacKinnon wrote that "the Internet empowers people and helps to bring about the peaceful changes associated with the Arab Spring".[10]
2010年9月,麦金农成为新美国基金会的伯纳德·施瓦茨研究员。 [11] 她是智囊团排名数位权利专案的创始主任,该专案排名世界最强大的国际米兰t,移动和电信,公司对用户权利的尊重,重点是言论自由和隐私。
2007年1月,她加入了成立维琪媒体基金会的首届顾问委员会。
