大英帝國與英聯邦博物館（British Empire and Commonwealth Museum）是英國布里斯托爾博物館，旨在探索大英帝國歷史和英國殖民統治對世界其他地區的影響。該博物館於2002年開放，2013年進入自願清算階段。
介紹
2002年，博物館在建於1840年的布里斯托爾聖殿草地站開放，由伊桑巴德•金德姆•布魯內爾設計，翻新和改造耗資800萬英鎊。它長達220英尺（67米），鐵木屋頂跨度為72英尺（22米）。這座Ⅰ級登錄建築[1]已成爲世界遺產。[2]
博物館有一個繁榮的出版部門，出版殖民時代生活的書籍，如北羅得西亞警察的歷史，英國東印度公司和東印度軍隊。博物館還收藏了英聯邦學會的文物；大量的照片、紙張、電影和口述歷史檔案，和服裝收藏。這些現在由布里斯托爾博物館、畫廊和檔案館照管。[3]

與英國許多的國家博物館不同，它不是由公共資助，而是由慈善信託基金擁有和經營，因此需要入場費。
打碎鎖鏈
爲紀念《1807年奴隸貿易法》廢除大西洋奴隸貿易200周年，博物館推出「打碎鎖鏈」展覽。[4]
爭議
2007年11月23日，博物館宣布2008年將其核心業務搬到倫敦，[5]該博物館於2008年秋季不向公眾開放，[5] 2009年3月底對學校關閉。[6]
2011年3月16日，博物館協會宣布，博物館館長加雷思•格里菲斯已解職，等待警方調查未經授權處置博物館文物一案。[7][8][9]
2012年3月28日，博物館宣布取消搬遷到倫敦的計劃[10]，博物館關閉後，這些藏品交給布里斯托市議會管理，由布里斯托爾城市博物館與美術館展出。檔案藏品（包括論文、書籍、攝影、電影和聲音）由布里斯托檔案館保管。以前容納博物館的舊車站也給了市里，可能用於未來英國鐵路網公司去倫敦的業務[11][12]。
2013年10月24日，大英帝國和英聯邦博物館和帝國博物館有限公司進入「會員自願清算」階段，由普華永道的兩名雇員擔任聯合清算人。
