瓦特·布拉克（Walter Block, 1941年－），奥地利经济学派的美国经济学家。

家庭和教育

布拉克生于纽约布鲁克林区，父亲是一名会计师、母亲是一名律师助理。他在布鲁克林学院（Brooklyn College）获得了他的大学哲学学位，并在哥伦比亚大学获得了经济学的博士学位，他的博士论文是有关租金的控制。目前布拉克定居于新奥尔良。

职业生涯

布拉克目前在新奥尔良的罗耀拉大学（Loyola）的经济学系担任教授。在1979年-1991年和1998年-2002年间他曾经任职于弗雷泽研究所（Fraser Institute）。他也是奥地利经济学派的路德维希·冯·米塞斯研究所的资深教职人员之一。他最知名的著作是《百辩经济学》（Defending the Undefendable）。布拉克被视为是当前奥地利经济学派和无政府资本主义的主要经济学家和思想家之一。在担任教职之前，布拉克曾担任商业周刊（BusinessWeek）的专栏作家，他也曾曾投入纽约市的不动产投资事业。在1983年布拉克加入了一个合资开发纽约曼哈顿第二大街的投资团体。布拉克被哥伦比亚大学列为是杰出校友之一[1]。
