普林斯頓大學（英語：Princeton University），又譯普林斯敦大學，常被直接稱為普林斯頓，是一所位於美國新澤西州普林斯頓的私立研究型大學，為美洲大學協會的14個創會成員之一，著名體育賽事聯盟常春藤盟校的成員。
普林斯頓歷史悠久。它成立於1746年，是九所在美國革命前成立的殖民地學院之一，同時也是美國第四古老的高等教育機構。[1][lower-alpha 1]其在1747年移至紐瓦克，最終在1756年搬到了現在的普林斯頓，並於1896年正式改名為「普林斯頓大學」。雖然其舊校名是「新澤西學院」，但它與今天位於鄰近的尤因鎮（Ewing Township）的「新澤西學院」沒有任何關聯。此外雖然它最初是長老制的教育機構，但學校從沒有跟任何宗教機構有直接的聯繫，[5]而現在對學生亦無任何宗教上的要求。[6]但並非沒有教育目標，至今仍可從校訓了解初始信仰的教育目標為：「Deī sub nūmine viget（拉丁文）」Under God's power she flourishes(「因為上帝的力量，學校欣欣向榮」)，以及後來增添的非正式校訓，銅牌上銘刻著In the Nation's Service，In the Service of All Nations（「為國家服務，為所有國家服務」）。為符合聖經尊重全人類自由意志但需提供平等的知識受教權發展(學術自由)原則。
