生平
尼克逊于1954年首次来到好莱坞，当时他十七岁，去探望他的妹妹。米高梅卡通工作室为他提供了一个工作，但他拒绝了，理由是他希望成为一名演员。
早期尼克逊还经常与导演蒙特赫尔曼合作制作低成本的西部片，最初没有引起任何美国电影发行商的兴趣，但却在法国的艺术电路上取得了初步的成功。
