桑特海峡战役（Battle of the Saintes）是美国独立战争中英国海军在西印度群岛的重要胜利，从而结束了该地区的法国威胁。
简介
桑特海峡战役是发生于1782年4月8日由法国格拉斯伯爵号率领35艘战舰与150艘商船从马提尼克岛至牙买加行驶的过程中，遭到英国海军的袭击，法军溃败后，在1783年9月3日两国签署巴黎条约，英国自此恢复在西印度群岛失去过的岛屿。
战役经过
桑特海峡战役发生在1782年4月9日至12日，是英、法国在加勒比海地区的一场殖民利益争夺战。当时法国以马丁尼克为基地，英国则占据圣露西亚，桑特（Saintes）是加勒比海三个小岛的名称，位为多明尼加和瓜德罗普之间。战役法国战败，法国那艘以特洛伊王子帕里斯（Paris）命名的巨舰也沦为英国战利品。
此战英国舰队和法国舰队各以战列线对阵时，风向突然改变，英舰队司令乔治·罗德尼（George Rodney）立刻率领六艘战舰突破法舰队的一字长蛇阵，其他英舰也就近突破敌阵，将法国舰队分割成几段。 结果五艘法舰投降。
