Tommy Franzen is a Swedish dancer, choreographer, movement director, and actor based in the UK. He is known for his award-winning performances in dance and theatre, his work as a choreographer on Strictly Come Dancing, and his appearances in major film musicals.

Early Life and Training
Franzen is originally from Sweden. He began his dance training in his home country before moving to London to train at the prestigious Urdang Academy. His career in performance began almost by accident when, at age 14, he saw his sister performing in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat in Sweden. After watching the show approximately 15 times, he was offered a role when another performer had to drop out.[1]

Franzen has built a versatile career across stage and screen. His early theatre credits include starring roles in musicals such as Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, West Side Story, The King and I, and Fiddler on the Roof.

He served as Associate Director & Choreographer for the European premiere of Your Lie In April and as Assistant Choreographer for the world premiere of Burlesque The Musical.
