桑特海峽戰役發生在1782年4月9日至12日，是英、法國在[[加勒比海]]地區的一場殖民利益爭奪戰。當時法國以[[馬丁尼克]]為基地，英國則占據[[聖露西亞]]，桑特（Saintes）是加勒比海三個小島的名稱，位為[[多明尼加]]和[[瓜德羅普]]之間。戰役法國戰敗，法國那艘以[[特洛伊]]王子[[帕裡斯]]（Paris）命名的巨艦也淪為英國戰利品。
此戰英國艦隊和法國艦隊各以戰列線對陣時，風向突然改變，英艦隊司令[[喬治·羅德尼]]（George Rodney）立刻率領六艘戰艦突破法艦隊的一字長蛇陣，其他英艦也就近突破敵陣，將法國艦隊分割成幾段。 結果五艘法艦投降。
