早在2013年，莎黛雅參加了美國廣播公司節目《[[與星共舞]]》第16季，憑藉16歲的年齡成為節目史上最年輕的選手。同年7月《[[舞動青春]]》結局，幾個月後莎黛雅的書《[[你我之間]]》（Between U and Me）及其個人首張同名專輯問世。專輯主打單曲《[[重放]]》（Replay）於2013年7月16日發行，位列公告牌百強單曲榜第40位，在新西蘭榜位列第18，並於2014年1月30日獲得美國唱片業協會鉑金認證。專輯於9月17日發佈，位列公告牌二百強專輯榜第51位。
