早年經歷
1998年，蕭亞軒在加拿大溫哥華留學時參加加拿大新時代電視舉辦的《新秀歌唱大賽溫哥華選拔賽》而獲得維京音樂負責人姚謙的賞識，唱片公司決定讓蕭亞軒與另外一名參賽者蜜雪和其姊姊等三人組成「Phenomenon」演唱團體，因另外兩名團員不適應台灣地區的宣傳方式因而退出，於是蕭亞軒成為獨立歌手，開始演藝生涯。
演藝經歷
1999年蕭亞軒發行首張專輯《蕭亞軒同名專輯》在中國台灣銷售超過50萬張，是1999年台灣唱片銷量冠軍；同年，elva在EMI全球的年度大會上，取代了宇多田，成為「銷售冠軍新秀」。
2000年蕭亞軒發行第二張專輯《紅薔薇》並於8月26日在台灣台北市立體育場舉辦個人第一場售票演唱會「夏日薔薇演唱會」。憑藉兩張專輯，蕭亞軒成為由IFPI認證（1999-2000）全球華語唱片最高銷量歌手並獲得1999年至2000年度世界音樂大獎(TheWorldMusicAwards）「全球年度銷售最佳華語歌手」。
2001年蕭亞軒發行第三張專輯《明天》，並在香港紅|體育館舉辦兩場「夏日的精彩」演唱會。成為繼張惠妹後，第二位登上紅|體育館舉辦演唱會的中國台灣女歌手。同時她還擔任潘婷洗髮水大中華地區代言人。
2002年蕭亞軒發行了第四張專輯《4U》和第五張專輯《愛的主打歌?吻》並於8月30和31日連續在香港紅|體育館舉辦兩場「閃耀蕭亞軒」演唱會，並成為雪碧飲料大中華地區代言人。
2003年，蕭亞軒重回台北市立體育場舉辦「2003Up2U台北演唱會」，並於5月16日發行個人第六張專輯《愛上愛》；繼瑪丹娜後，蕭亞軒也和Hinet協作，成為華人樂壇首創付費下載的第一位歌手-2003年數位單曲《我就是我》。12月30日發行個人[[第七張]專輯《第5大道》。
2004年5月蕭亞軒與維京唱片解約，維京唱片在2004年7月16發行蕭亞軒第一張精選《首選蕭亞軒…美麗的插曲》，爾後，蕭亞軒與經紀人陳香君共同籌組新的經紀公司萬力達娛樂。
2005年3月23日，蕭亞軒與華納音樂簽訂唱片合約，但一年內未發行專輯，因而合約失效；2006年10，新任總經理劉天健與蕭亞軒和經紀人陳香君達成共識，以1億2000萬元簽約金和預付版稅，再度和華納音樂簽約，並於12月22日發行新專輯《1087》；在發片前夕，蕭亞軒於PUB拍攝第四支MV《代言人》時，熱舞造成左腳踝韌帶斷裂，當場不支倒地，送醫急診。打上石膏的蕭亞軒仍堅持發片宣傳，但最終在媽媽的強硬要求下，不得不擱置宣傳，赴外治療。
2008年4月22日，蕭亞軒再次簽約維京音樂（現已改為金牌大風），並於2008年6月15日發行第9張專輯《3面夏娃》。
2009年10月9日，蕭亞軒發行出道十年，第十張專輯《鑽石糖》，12月31日首次在台北小巨蛋舉辦售票演唱會，"E!VA蕭亞軒WOW世界巡迴演唱會"在台北正式開始展開巡迴。
2010年9月，金牌大風以新台幣1億2000萬元（約合人民幣3000萬）的簽約金，以及價值7000萬元的10克拉鑽戒套牢蕭亞軒，雙方再續簽2年約。9月24日，發行第11張專輯《蕭灑小姐》在專輯中，蕭亞軒參與創作了5首詞、2首曲，同時嘗試製作2首自己的全創作。
2011年2月14日，受JamieFoxx邀請參加第53屆葛萊美獎頒獎典禮，一起走星光大道，成為首位站上葛萊美紅毯的台灣歌手。2011年12月23日，蕭亞軒發表第12張國語大碟《我愛我》，並首拍愛情微電影《100分的吻》配合專輯宣傳。2012年12月21日，發行《SuperGirl愛無畏》新歌+精選。
2013年8月1日，蕭亞軒於北京財富中心簽約加盟索尼音樂，收穫索尼音樂訂購的以ELVAHSIAO命名的行星為見面禮，並制定「星球大戰之五星計劃」。
