滇西沿階草(diān xī yán jiē cǎo)，學名 Ophiopogon yunnanensis S. C. Chen，鈴蘭科Convallariaceae，沿階草(麥門冬)屬Ophiopogon，根纖細，質軟、多分枝；根狀莖無。莖很長，圓柱形，直徑為4—7毫米，匍匐於地面，節間長5—10毫米，節上被褐色葉鞘和葉鞘脫落後的殘留纖維。 [1]

根纖細，質軟、多分枝；根狀莖無。莖很長，圓柱形，直徑為4—7毫米，匍匐於地面，節間長5—10毫米，節上被褐色葉鞘和葉鞘脫落後的殘留纖維。
葉9—11枚隔幾節距離簇生於莖上，禾葉形，長20—50厘米，寬4—6毫米，先端漸尖，邊緣具細齒，基部葉柄不明顯，邊緣為膜質，上面綠色，背面淺綠色，5—6脈，中脈明顯。
總狀花序生於葉束中，長5—10厘米，扁平，具10餘花，花成對着生於苞片腋內；苞片披針形，長1—1.5厘米，先端尾頭漸尖，花梗比苞片短，在下部1/3處具關節；
花被片長圓形，約7—9毫米，寬約3—5毫米，白色或淡紫色；花絲很短，花葯披針形，長約5毫米；花柱細長，長5—6毫米。花期7月。
Stem elongate, subterete, 5--7 mm thick, covered with grayish sheaths, with some aerial roots. Leaves in distant tufts 3--4 cm apart, 9--11 per tuft, sessile, long linear, 40--50 cm × 5--9 mm, base somewhat equitant, margin membranous.
Scape arising from an apical leaf axil, 17--22 cm. Inflorescence a reduced panicle, more than 10-flowered; bracts lanceolate to linear-lanceolate, 1--2 cm. Flowers paired, rarely also solitary; pedicel much shorter than the bracts, articulate proximally.
Tepals white, oblong to subovate, 7.5--9 × 3--5 mm, inner ones slightly wider than outer. Filaments very short; anthers ca. 5 mm. Style slightly exceeding anthers, slender. Fl. Jun.
