彼德·漢彌頓（Peter F. Hamilton，1960年3月2日－）男性，出生於英國拉特蘭，是一位小說家，他的作品以強調故事戲劇性的太空歌劇為主。
漢彌頓於1987年開始寫作，翌年將首部短篇小說售予戰慄雜誌（Fear Magazine），此後以一系列科幻小說，三部曲在文壇奠定基礎。他撰寫了許多暢銷小說，包括Greg Mandel系列，Night's Dawn三部曲，英聯邦傳奇，Void三部曲，短篇小說集及獨立小說，包括墮落龍和北方大道。
他聲名鵲起的是始於九零年代晚期，作品Night's Dawn 「夜之曙」三部曲，這個由 The Reality Dysfunction（現實失常）、The Neutronium Alchemist （零號元素鍊金師）和 The Naked God （赤裸的神）所組成的系列，每一本都是將近千頁篇幅的巨作。
漢彌頓曾多次獲科幻大獎提名，包括雨果獎、英倫科幻獎、約翰坎伯紀念獎、克拉克獎等。寫作風格擅長處理極長篇幅的大作，以紮實精采的科幻設定，波瀾壯闊的背景格局，繁複鮮明的眾多人物關係與情節，演繹毫不拖沓的敘事節奏；其作品被翻譯成十餘種語言，不只在英語世界大受歡迎，也在法國、德國、波蘭、義大利、捷克、葡萄牙、保加利亞、希臘、俄國、羅馬尼亞等國出版，連日本創元社都曾翻譯他早期的科幻推理作品。漢彌頓的作品全球銷量已突破三百萬冊。
