葉敏，男，漢族，1975年11月出生於湖北黃岡，生藥學博士，教授、博士生導師 ，北京市科技新星，教育部新世紀人才計劃獲得者，國家藥典委員，入選國家自然科學基金委優秀青年基金，國家傑出青年科學基金獲得者，國家「萬人計劃」科技創新領軍人才。

現任北京大學藥學院院長，天然藥物及仿生藥物國家重點實驗室副主任，中國植物學會藥用植物及植物藥專業委員會副主任委員。

葉敏教授的主要研究領域為中藥藥效物質、天然產物生物合成與生物催化；近年來，提出「化學成分-體內代謝-生物活性」研究策略，系統闡明了甘草等常用中藥的藥效成分，發現了一系列有藥用價值的活性分子。建立綠色高效的生物催化方法，應用於中藥藥效成分結構優化，提高成藥性；在PNAS、JACS等雜誌發表SCI收錄論文250餘篇，累計引用8000餘次。

中藥成分分析與代謝

1.採用HPLC及LC/MS等分析技術，實現中藥化學成分的微量快速分析，建立中藥質量標準。

2.中藥及其複方的多成分代謝及藥代動力學研究。

3.天然產物的質譜裂解途徑研究。

1.利用微生物及植物細胞酶體系的催化作用，發現結構新穎的天然產物衍生物。

2.重要類型天然產物的構效關係研究。
