倪明选，香港科大校长特别助理，香港科大霍英东研究院院长，计算机科学与工程系讲座教授。
简介
倪教授曾担任国家973计划在无线传感网络项目的首席科学家，兼任上海交通大学神州数码讲席教授与清华大学IV讲席教授。倪教授及其领导的团队荣获2010年教育部颁发的自然科学一等奖与2011年国务院颁发的国家自然科学二等奖。
2015年1月，出任澳门大学副校长(学术) 。

人物经历
倪明选教授于1973年毕业于国立台湾大学电机工程系，1977年在美国威恩州立大学(Wayne State University)获得电子和计算机工程硕士学位，1980年在美国普渡大学(Purdue University)获得电机工程博士学位。 在2002年加入香港科技大学之前，他担任密歇根州立大学(Michigan State University)计算机科学与工程系教授。倪教授目前是香港科技大学校长特别助理、香港科大霍英东研究院院长、计算机科学与工程系讲座教授。从1995至1996年他担任美国自然科学基金委员会微电子系统结构方向的主任。从1998至2001年，他创立了CC&T技术公司并担任执行长，他领导的团队设计了一系列网络电话有关的产品。倪教授拥有7个美国或中国的专利，另有15个专利在审理中。

倪教授长期从事高性能体系结构、并行计算、分布式计算技术、高速网络、操作系统、与无线传感网络研究，出版过3本专著、80多篇期刊文章、200多篇会议论文、并指导完成42个博士生。倪教授的文章与论文大多发表在一流的期刊与会议，被同行高度引用超过 15,000 次以上(google学术)。 倪教授担任过多个国际一级期刊、如 "IEEE Transactions on Computers", "Journal of Parallel and Distributed Computing"、"Communications of the ACM" 、"ACM Transactions on Sensor Networks"与"IEEE Transactions on Parallel and Distributed Systems" 的编委。他目前担任"Frontiers of Computer Science"的执行主编。
倪教授在1994年由于在并行和分布式系统领域的贡献被评选为IEEE Fellow，在2008年被评选为香港工程科学院院士。他还担任过国家重点基础研究发展计划(973计划)"无线传感网络的基础理论及关键技术研究"项目首席科学家 (2006至2010年) 。在倪教授的众多荣誉与客座任命中, 他是上海交通大学讲席教授、新竹清华大学荣誉讲座、北京清华大学讲席教授。倪教授担任过三十多个国际会议的大会主席，在三十余个国内及国际会议被邀请为主题发言人。他和他的学生获得过六个主流国际会议最佳论文奖。1998年他和他的学生Chris Glass的论文 "The Turn Model for Adaptive Routing"被评选为最近25年计算机体系结构领域最有影响力的41篇论文之一。他在1994年还获得密歇根州立大学卓越教学奖。为表彰其在计算机领域的学术成就和为中国的计算机事业所作出的杰出贡献，中国计算机学会授予倪教授2009年海外杰出贡献奖 。倪教授领导的团队获得2010年教育部自然科学一等奖与2011年国家自然科学二等奖。
