科学期刊是一个[[国家]]科技实力的象征,它能够影响一个国家的科学事业和国力发展。首先,本书介绍了中西科学期刊的发展概况以及科学期刊与科学之间的关系;其次,以具有代表性的中西科学期刊为切入点,运用大数据和定量研究的方法进行载文量、影响因子、总被引频次和文献来源等方面的比较,还运用定性研究的方法对期刊发展历程等点进行对比研究,深刻分析了中西科学期刊之间的较大差异,以及产生这些差异的深层原因;*后,针对我国科学期刊的不足之处,总结西方科学期刊的发展经验,提出了若干条针对性的建议以供有关部门作为参考,从而为中国科学期刊未来发展和国家科技政策改革提供借鉴。
