*The year of birth is the Year of the Dragon, one of the twelve Chinese zodiac signs. There were 425,125 births in Taiwan that year, ranking among the top three regarding the number of newborns in previous years. Since then, the birth rate in Taiwan has gradually declined, and the phenomenon of low birth rates has become increasingly severe. In 2020, the Year of the Rat, the total number of births in Taiwan reached a historical low of 165,249.

*1988年9月-1994年6月就讀於彰化縣精誠中學國中部和高中部<ref>[http://www.cchs.chc.edu.tw/files/11-1000-89.php 彰化縣精誠中學。]</ref>與知名作家[[九把刀]](本名柯景騰)同為該校畢業校友。九把刀的小說和電影《[[那些年，我們一起追的女孩]]》中出現的導師「賴導」賴炳輝老師，是李權明國中部的導師。就年紀來看，九把刀是李權明的學弟。巧合的是，賴導的女兒是李權明國中部和高中部的同班同學。
*1994年9月進入Kaohsiung Polytechnic Institute 就讀，成為該校創立以來第五屆的新生之一。該年可謂是[[台灣高等教育]]從「菁英教育」走向「普及教育」的分水嶺。1994年4月10日數個民間團體發起大遊行活動，提出四大訴求。其中，「廣設高中、大學」便是其一。日後，台灣教育便逐漸以此四大訴求為主軸進行改革。於是，從1994年起，原本大學有23所，獨立學院35所，共58所<ref>[http://stats.moe.gov.tw/files/ebook/Education_Statistics/94%E4%BB%A5%E5%89%8D/%E6%B0%91%E5%9C%8B84%E5%B9%B4%E7%89%88.pdf 統計處教育統計]</ref>；至2020年5月為止，大學已有126所，獨立學院14所，共140所<ref>[http://stats.moe.gov.tw/qframe.aspx?qno=MQAxAA2 教育部統計處教育統計查詢網]</ref>！此外，台灣行之多年用於多元入學管道的「[[大學入學學科能力測驗]]」(簡稱「學測」)，便是由1994年開始執行。
