 '''莫如志'''(1908年2月(清[[光绪]]三十四年)-1995年10月4日)，字能容，号牧牛翁，今西堡乡堡子村人。儿童时读私塾，后入[[西宁]]道尹黎丹办的无我学堂学   习，[[黎丹]]的楷书在西宁颇负盛名，对学生的毛笔字要求甚严，六年的时间，莫如志在书法上打下了最初的基础，先后[[临摹]]了名家书画，受到了名家的指点。   上世纪三十年代初，其任职于省政府秘书处机要股秘书工作，上报中央的材料大多由他誊写，其字流利漂亮。随后遍临诸贴，开阔视野，[[王羲之]]、[[于右任]]等   古今名家无所不临。莫如志不仅精于书法，而且擅长于国画，向[[张大千]]等名家学习，其[[梅兰菊竹]]及山水画颇具高雅。解放后，他弃政从农，边从事农事活   动，边对书画勤练不缀，并热心服务于乡里乡亲的喜庆寿葬，热心公益事业，担任县政协委员，吸收为中国书法家、省书法家协会会员、理事。
