<p style="text-indent: 30px; line-height:30px">1934年出生於[[南京]]，祖籍[[湖南]]，畢業於[[菲律賓]][[聖多瑪斯大學]]政治學研究所，並為[[美國]][[北維吉尼亞大學]]名譽人文學博士。高中畢業後，於中華民國駐菲律賓大使館任僱員，任滿六年後升任駐菲律賓大使館主事，1960年起入中華民國外交部任職。</p>
