1,900名[[大英帝國|英國]]軍隊在[[查爾斯·康沃利斯|康沃利斯侯爵]]的指揮下，與由[[彌敦內爾·格連]]將軍指揮的4,400名美軍進行戰鬥。儘管參與戰鬥的軍隊不多，這場戰役仍被認為是決定性的。
