外萼片宽卵形或椭圆状卵形，长5-7毫米，宽约2毫米，先端急尖，具不明显的尖头，内侧萼片先端钝圆，边缘膜质；花瓣蓝色或蓝紫色，倒卵形，长为萼片的3倍，先端钝圆或微凹，基部渐狭成黄色的爪；雄蕊与萼片近等长，花丝基部合生，雌蕊与雄蕊近等长。

Perennials 30-60 cm tall. Roots sturdy. Stems several, caespitose, erect, glabrous, branched above middle, base woody. Leaves densely alternate, linear to narrowly lanceolate, 2-2.5 cm × 2-2.5 mm, glabrous, 3- or 5-veined from base, apex acuminate to acute. Flowers several in sparse cymes. Pedicel longer than leaves, erect. Outer sepals broadly ovate to elliptic-ovate, 5-7 蒴果黄棕色，卵球形，长6× ca. 2 mm, apex acute; inner sepals with margin membranous, apex obtuse. Petals blue to bluish purple, obovate, ca. 3 × as long as sepals, base attenuate into a claw, apex rounded to retuse. Stamens ± as long as styles. Capsule yellowish brown, subglobose, 6-7 毫米，宽4× 4-5 毫米，下部围以宿存萼片。种子长卵形，亮褐色，长约4毫米，宽约3毫米。花期6mm. Seeds oblong, ca. 4 × 3 mm. Fl. Jun-7月，果期7Jul, fr. Jul-8月。Aug.
