在2009年2月2日(官方網站指2月9日推出首張專輯《First Love》<ref>[http://www.nme.com/news/emmy-the-great/41903 Emmy The Great 即將發佈新專輯以及巡迴日期]{{en}}</ref>，在同月23日，推出專輯內的單曲《First Love》<。[[紐約時報]]把《First Love》列在他們的2009年最佳專輯列表的第七位。
在2011年8月3日，她發表單曲《Edward》。在2011年6月13日，她發表第二張專輯《Virtue》，在同年4月29日專輯中的首要單曲《Iris》以數碼下載發佈。在2011年11月21日，她發表了《This is Christmas》
