在2018年1月，伯恩宣布了他將發行繼《Grown Backwards》後睽違14年的個人專輯《{{link-en|American Utopia}}》，並在同年3月9日由Nonesuch和獨立廠牌Todo Mundo發行。他也發布了此專輯的主打單曲，即他與伊諾合寫的〈Everybody's Coming to My House〉。
