鳴唱優美婉囀而富變化,會模仿其他鳥叫聲。似臺灣紫嘯鶇,但較平緩「tsi－」或「sui yi」聲。

* M. c. temminckii Vigors, 1831 – [[天山]]南至[[阿富汗]]，東至[[喜馬拉雅山]]和印度東北向中國南部（西至北，[[四川]]西部和西南）和緬甸北部與東北；在繁殖範圍以下的低海拔地區不繁殖。
