小格雷厄姆·蒂利特·艾利森(英语:Graham Tillett Allison, Jr.,(1940年3月23日-)为美国哈佛约翰·F·甘迺迪政府学院教授、首任院长,政治与国际关系理论家,提出修昔底德陷阱 (英语:Thucydides's Trap) 一词。[1][2]曾担任美国总统隆纳·雷根国防特别顾问,之后于美国总统比尔·柯林顿任内担任国防计画助理部长[3]。

论述
其2010年后提出的词汇“修昔底德陷阱”广为世界所知,指一个新崛起的大国必然要挑战现存大国,而现存大国也必然来回应这种威胁,这样战争变得不可避免。这一概念来自修昔底德(《伯罗奔尼撒战争史》的作者)的名言:“伯罗奔尼撒战争的无可避免,肇因于斯巴达对雅典崛起的恐惧。”[4]他认为中美关系可能正在面对这一阶段。
