刘心报教授主要从事运筹与系统控制、决策科学与技术、智能决策支持系统及其应用、信息管理与决策支持系统、复杂产品生产制造过程优化与决策等方面的教学与研究工作。他是国家自然科学基金委创新研究群体"互联网与大数据环境下面向企业的决策理论与方法研究"负责人 ,先后主持国家863项目、国家自然科学基金创新研究群体项目、国家自然科学基金重点项目、国家自然科学基金面上项目以及企事业单位委托重要项目20余项 。在springer出版英文专著《Optimization and Management in Manufacturing Engineering》,在POMS 、Omega 、EJOR 、IJPR、AOR、JORS、IEEE Transactions、计算机学报、系统工程理论与实践等国内外重要学术期刊和学术会议上发表学术论文150多篇 。被评为安徽省高校学术拔尖人才,获国家科技进步二等奖2项,教育部自然科学一等奖1项,中国机械工业科技进步一等奖1项,安徽省科技进步一等奖1项,安徽省自然科学二等奖1项以及国家级教学成果奖二等奖1项。
