1888年，英国圣公会决定兴建会议和行政大楼，<ref>[http://www.churchhouse.org.uk/book/page-03.shtml ''The Church House 1888–1988'' p. 3]</ref> 1891年6月24日奠基<ref>[http://www.churchhouse.org.uk/book/page-07.shtml ''The Church House 1888–1988'' p. 7]</ref>，1896年2月11日由[[乔治五世]]揭幕。目前的建筑则是1930年代重建，1937年6月26日奠基，1940年6月10日由[[乔治六世]]揭幕。
