== 生平 ==
他先取得[[的黎波里大学]]电气工程的[[理学士]]学位。1975年移居[[美国]][[加州]]的[[帕萨迪纳 (加利福尼亚州)|帕萨迪纳]]在[[加州理工学院]]继续学习，分别于1977年与1984年获得[[硕士]]和[[博士]]学位。

1984年他在[[紐約州]]的[[羅徹斯特大學]]担任助理教授。1985年在[[阿拉巴马大学|阿拉巴马大学亨茨维尔分校]]担任助理教授，并于1995年升为教授。

早在1970年代他就成为[[卡扎菲]]政权的坚定反对者。在美国他积极与其他反政府活动家联系。2011年回国加入了[[利比亚全国过渡委员会|全国过渡委员会]]。
