原產地：	中國大陸及台灣。

分佈：	台灣，廣泛分布於全島低至中海拔山地約 500~1,800 公尺處，潮濕而有陽光的溪谷或森林邊緣，極為常見。[[恆春半島]]除外。

《樹幹及枝條的描述》

莖基多少有些木質化，初生部分或多或少具粗毛，漸變光滑，綠色，略呈「之」字形彎曲。

《葉的描述》

葉紙質，或多或少具粗毛，窄橢圓形至長橢圓形，長5-30cm，寬2-8.5 cm，寬側基部具耳狀構造，鋸齒緣至細鋸齒緣，葉尖長尾狀，具多數細鋸齒；托葉早落性，長達3 cm。

雌花序外觀呈蝶形，無或近無柄。

瘦果橢球形

《生育環境》

除恆春半島外，產於全島中低海拔地區。
