救護員麥在田和章蕙芯[[夫妻]]恩愛，可惜蕙芯死於一宗交通意外。十年後，在田已榮升救護總隊目。在田和女兒諾兒、[[姐姐]]麥愛花、小姨章可祈同住，對她們照顧周到。在田對蕙芯念念不忘，將愛妻部份骨灰轉化成鑽石；鑽石卻在小巴上遺失，疑被司機卓家傑取去；在田對遺失鑽石深深自責。家傑與父親卓裘送小巴往車房維修，不料遇上石油汽的士爆炸事故……在田執勤時經過現場，他見有傷者急需送院而暫緩為卓裘止血。家傑誤會在田公報私仇……
