<p style="text-indent:2em;">曾获印度社会科学理事会Indian Council of Social Science Research研究基金并于1990年被聘为英迪拉甘地国立艺术中心教授顾问，于1994年发表《段文杰眼中的敦煌艺术》Dunhuang Art: Through the Eyes of Duan Wenjie, 1994, New Delhi: Indira GandhiNational Centre for the Arts & Abhinav Publications。曾多次参加敦煌吐鲁番学会、敦煌研究院、香港中文大学在乌鲁木齐、敦煌、北京、兰州、香港举行的国际研讨会并发表论文。</p >

<p style="text-indent:2em;">曾应印度外交部邀请客串编辑《印度地平线》"印度与中国"特刊Indian Horizon，Vol.43, Nos.1-2, Special Issue "India and China", 1994, New Delhi: Indian Council for Cultural Relations。1998年由英迪拉甘地国立艺术中心出版(1)《跨越喜马拉雅鸿沟》Across the Himalayan Gap: An India Quest for Understanding China, 1998, New Delhi: Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts & Gyan Publishing House(2)《踏着玄奘的脚印》In the Footsteps of Xuanzang: Tan Yun-shan and India, 1998, New Delhi: Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts & Gyan Publishing House。后者中文版《谭云山与中印文化交流》于1998年由香港中文大学出版社。又于2004年和北大耿引曾教授合作出版《印度与中国》India and China: Twenty Centuries of Civilizational Interaction and Vibrations，成为印度文明研究中心《印度文明中科学、哲学与文化历史》大丛书the series of History of Science, Philosophy and Culture in Indian Civilization之第三卷第六册 (2005, New Delhi: PHISPC/Centre for Studies in Civilizations)。其中文版《印度与中国---两大文明的交往和激荡》于2006年由北京商务印书馆出版。</p >

从1973年开始至今曾参加过十余次在北京(包括1980年《南亚会议》和2004年《北京论坛》)、东京/京都、台北、香港、新德里、墨西哥城、巴黎、汉堡、莱登等地举行的各种国际会议。</p >
