研究方向

主要研究方向:植物抗病信號轉導、功能基因和信號途徑互作。

主要研究模式植物(水稻和擬南芥)抗病調控基因的克隆與信號轉導, 重點研究水稻對真菌病害(稻瘟病和紋枯病)和擬南芥對水稻病害非寄主抗性的調控機制和信號途徑,尤其是作物廣譜抗病的基因及其分子機制;植物抗病(SA,JA途徑)與發育(GA和auxin)和逆境信號間的cross-talk,逆境信號記憶機制;水稻重要農藝性狀功能基因及其對田間(基礎)抗病性的調節,並致力於廣譜抗病和高產水稻資源的創造,目標是高抗與高產性狀的協調與平衡。研究主要涉及分子遺傳、植物病理學、細胞生物學、生物化學與生物信息學。

主要成就

1. 在廣譜抗病機制與育種理論上取得重大突破。抗病性是育種的主要目標之一,稻瘟病是水稻的「癌症」,我國水稻品種審定採用抗瘟性「一票否決」制,但廣譜與持久抗病的問題一直無法解決。其課題組發掘了我國特有的廣譜抗瘟位點Pigm,經過長期研究發現其編碼兩個序列相似但功能拮抗的受體,通過蛋白互作和表觀遺傳調控廣譜持久抗病與產量的平衡,由此解析了一種全新的植物免疫和廣譜抗病機制,有效地解決了抗瘟育種的瓶頸問題,成果已被廣泛應用於分子育種,已有品種大面積推廣。其課題組系統解析細胞死亡因子等調控廣譜抗病的新機制,並創造性地研究免疫嵌合受體的信號激發, 由此發現新的植物逆境記憶機制。

2.建立了抗病與產量性狀互作的創新研究領域。抗病性往往伴隨產量下降等抗性代價,機制複雜,是高抗高產育種的關鍵制約因子,受不同激素信號的調控。其在國際上較早提出抗病與產量等農藝性狀協調的理念,並通過系統剖析激素(SA,JA,GA等)交互作用、受體激酶ER調控細胞死亡新機制等,將植物免疫與發育和抗逆信號耦合,創立了抗病—生理性狀互作的理論體系,研究理念受到國際上廣泛的認同。此外,為結合高抗與高產性狀,課題組長期研究重要生理性狀形成機制及其對田間抗性的影響,拓寬了植物病理研究方向,也為育種家創造了優異的高抗高產育種材料。
