== 歷史沿革 ==

史前時期先後有[[利古利亞人]]、[[腓尼基人]]和[[迦太基人]]在此居住。

=== 格里馬爾迪家族的來到 ===

中世紀時蠻族相互爭奪此地的控制權，直到[[神聖羅馬帝國]]皇帝[[亨利六世(神聖羅馬帝國)|亨利六世]](Heinrich VI)於1215年將此地授予[[熱那亞共和國]]，並於[[摩納哥岩]]上修建防禦海盜的堡壘。此時期的熱那亞分為[[歸爾甫派]](Guelphs 親[[教皇]]派)與[[吉伯林派]](Ghibellines 親神聖羅馬帝國的皇帝派)，支持教皇[[格里馬爾迪家族]](Grimaldi)最後被迫流亡，1297年[[弗朗索瓦‧格里馬爾迪]]喬裝成[[方濟會]](Franciscan)的修士占領摩納哥堡壘，此後700年間格里馬爾迪家族斷斷續續的統治摩納哥。
