寬度達7.6公里的[[聖路易斯杜塔帕若斯水壩]]（São Luiz do Tapajós dam）的興建，面積達729平方公里（約2.7個臺北市面積）的水庫。興建時就會淹沒自然湖泊、岩層、島嶼，和其他關鍵棲地，以及當地居民如 Munduruku 族人的家園即會遭到摧毀。在塔帕若斯河興建水壩會摧毀此流域的環境生態平衡，還有倚賴此河生活的[[聚落]]與[[社區]]。因此[[綠色和平]]與[[Munduruku族的領袖們]]攜手強烈表達抗議，並要求[[巴西政府]]停止興建[[聖路易斯杜塔帕若斯水壩]]的計畫。3月21日適逢世界森林日，綠色和平與 Munduruku 族人透過抗議行動，向全世界傳遞一個明確訊息：「該死的水壩。讓塔帕若斯河活下去。」（Damn the dam, keep the Tapajós River alive.）<ref>[https://zh-tw.heartoftheamazon.org/ 守護亞馬遜森林之心]，Greenpeace綠色和平</ref>
