== 描述 形态特征 ==
植株可以生長至20[[公尺]]高。[[葉]]互生，常綠性，葉長12～25[[公分]]。[[花]]小，不明顯，黃綠色，寬約0.5～1公分。[[果實|果]]為[[核果]]，梨形，長約7～20公分，果重約100～1000[[公克]]。[[種子]]很大，生長在果的中央，直徑約3～5公分。
1棵鳄梨樹每年大約可以生產1200個鳄梨果。商業栽培的鳄梨園一[[公頃]]每年約可以生產七[[公噸]]的鳄梨果，不過也有些果園每公頃可以生產20公噸的果。

在美國加州有壽司店將酪梨用海苔、醋飯捲成壽司捲，為命名為[[加州捲]]，並被人逆輸入壽司發源地-日本。亦也有人將酪梨去皮切塊後，沾醬油食用。也可加牛奶打成酪梨牛奶。
