盧九於1888年加入葡籍，並於1894年4月25日獲 [[ 葡萄牙 ]] 王室授予聖母寶星勳章（Ordem Militar de Nossa Senhora da Conceição de Vila Viçosa）。1898年11月，葡王唐卡洛斯一世決定：鑑於盧九在不同時期，尤在1895至1896年間鼠疫肆虐澳門時，為這一殖民地作出傑出貢獻及慈善義舉，特再恩賜基督寶星紳士勳章（Cavaleiro da Ordem Militar de N.Senhor Jesus Cristo）。
