黔南润楠高约10米。小枝无毛。冬芽卵圆形，芽鳞圆形或卵形。叶柄1.5-3厘米，无毛，叶片两个表面上有光泽；
披针形或倒披针形，10-20 × 2-4（-5）厘米，厚革质，表面上都，中脉厚无毛，叶背升高，叶面留下印痕，侧脉12-15对，叶背明显升高，基部楔形，先端尾状，渐尖。
