1765年，此畫被荷蘭銀行家倫德特（Leendert Pieter de Neufville）拍賣<ref>[http://bibliotheque-numerique.inha.fr/collection/13744-catalogus-van-schilderyen-van-wylen-de-heer-pieter/ Catalogue of paintings by the late Pieter de Neufville, nr. 65]</ref>，在至少經過五位阿姆斯特丹收藏家之手後，成爲盧克里提亞（Lucretia Johanna van Winter，1785–1845）的藏品。1822年盧克里提亞嫁入希克斯家族（Six），1908年她的兩個兒子將這幅畫連同希克斯家的其他38幅藏品一起賣給了[[阿姆斯特丹国家博物馆]]，因交易金額巨大，倫布朗協會和荷蘭政府專門為博物館撥款贊助<ref name=MetMuseum-Exhibition-2009/>。
