本书主要探讨了中国城镇居民劳动供给的变迁和决定因素。作者基于过往研究，对以往相关领域的研究进行了文献综述，并使用国内外多个权威微观数据库中的数据，计算了1988-2007年间中国城镇居民劳动参与率的变化，并使用非线性分解方法解释了各阶段城镇居民劳动供给变化的可能原因。在此基础上，作者还进一步研究了社会观念和城乡劳动力转移对于我国城镇居民就业意愿和工资水平的影响，以求为政策制定以及进一步研究提供数据支撑和奠定理论基础。

作者介绍

陈茜，华中科技大学经济学院讲师。于2016年取得美国弗吉尼亚理工大学经济学博士学位。主要研究方向为劳动经济学、应用微观经济学、区域经济学和中国经济。目前的研究集中在中国城镇居民的劳动供给问题。论文发表于Journal of Comparative Economics、 World Development、 Economics of Transition and Institutional Change等多个比较经济学和转轨经济学著名期刊。
