==概述==
根据[[圣经]]中的记述，圣殿作为[[犹太教]]信仰的一个核心，其功能是为教徒们提供崇拜[[上帝]]和进行[[五祭]]（[[燔祭]]、[[素祭]]、[[赎罪祭]]、[[赎愆祭]]和[[平安祭]]）的场所。所罗门圣殿于公元前960年建成，公元前587年毁于巴比伦王[[尼布甲尼撒二世]]之手。

圣殿在公元前516年到公元70年间被重建，重建后的圣殿被称为[[第二圣殿]]，《[[以斯拉记]]》中记载了圣殿被重建的始末。第二圣殿的修建得到了[[波斯帝国]]的[[居鲁士大帝]]的授权，并得到了[[大流士一世]]的准许。第二圣殿于公元70年的[[犹太战争]]中毁于[[罗马帝国]]将军[[提图斯]]（后来成为罗马帝国皇帝）之手。（关于这场战争中罗马帝国一方获得的战利品，参见[[提图斯凯旋门]]。）

==历史==
以色列文物局日前（2013年1月）宣布，在耶路撒冷附近发现旧约《圣经》时期犹太王国早期文物，首次考古证实第一圣殿存在。

文物局专家介绍，在耶路撒冷西部塔勒.穆扎古迹区，发现2750年前神庙祭坛遗址和祭祀陶器，其意义重大，证实第一圣殿的存在。

犹太王国3000多年前经历扫罗、大卫到所罗门王鼎盛，在耶路撒冷建一神教大圣殿，但鲜有考古证明。王国后期宗教改革，各地停止祭祀，只在耶路撒冷圣殿祭祀。新发现的铁器时代王国早期神庙遗址包括墙体、向东大门。其广场中祭坛及陶杯、陶俑等陶器，显示当时祭祀习俗。
